Growing up, I never dreamed that I would become such a creative person. The thought of it would have made me laugh.
Now, to think, I am a design team member of 5 years for
Smalltown Scrappers in Manitoba, a published scrapbook artist in numerous Canadian Scrapbooker issues and one of last year's Crop and Cruise 2007 featured instructors. Who couldn't possibly become passionate about telling their life stories by creating “Art”?
Whether it's in the form of layouts, canvases, mini albums, journals or custom work, I love the emotion that is involved in this creative process. I am crazy about all the amazing products that are available for us today. Pattern paper, paint, ribbon, fabulous acrylic stamps, hand journaling & altered art are just a few of the many addictions I have in this industry.
With an easy-going personality, I encourage scrappers to go a little CRAZY and become excited about the products in front of them. I tend to do the unexpected and am constantly asked, “why did you choose that pattern paper?” Short answer: “Why not?” I believe there are “NO MISTAKES – ONLY UNEXPECTED CREATIONS.”
I live on a grain farm in Crystal City, MB with my husband, Ron of 13 years and my three beautiful children, Daria (10), Carter (7) & Asha (4). I have my Bachelor of Education and am currently working as a substitute teacher.
Besides scrapbooking in my spare time, I enjoy home decorating & watching NBA games with my family. I am incredibly excited to be joining Allison Orthner & the gang on another
Crop and Cruise adventure in 2009!
